1911 & 1913 White Star Line First Class Wisteria Pattern Breakfast Cup & Saucer A beautiful example of this much loved china pattern as used on the RMS Titanic. The cup is from the White Star Line and the saucer is from the Red Star Line. This elegant set is decorated in the turquoise "tongue and tendril" pattern, with the White Star company logo to the centre and gilding to the edges. Known as the Wisteria pattern (from the Chinese climbing plant of the same name) although it is sometimes referred to as the "Brownfield" pattern. This pattern of china was commissioned by White Star Line for use by first-class passengers on ships such as the Titanic and Olympic.

The cup is stamped on the reverse:-'Rd No 117214, Rd No 324028, 3/1913'. The saucer is stamped on the reverse:-'Rd No 117214, Rd No 324028, 3/1911'.

Dimensions The cup is 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) tall with the diameter of 3.5 inches (9 cm) in the widest point. The saucer is 1 inch (2.5 cm) high and has diameter of 6.25 inches (16 cm). Condition Both pieces are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The gilding is still in good order.
