Framed Original White Star Line Titanic Memorial Paper Napkin A beautifully hand painted framed paper napkin commemorating the sinking of RMS Titanic, issued in memorial to the "Captain, Crew and Passengers who lost their lives by the wreck of the Titanic", used aboard the White Star Line ships approximately a year after the tragic event. The memorial paper handkerchief was produced by the Palatine Printing Company of Wigan, Lancashire.The border is decorated with blossoms in pink and gold. Messages from the King and Queen are concluded with a'local list of crew' and a quotation from the hymn,'God Moves in a Mysterious Way'.
Dimensions The frame has a width of 19.5 inches (49.5 cm), a height of 20.5 inches (52 cm) and a depth of 0.7 inches (1.7 cm). The napkin has a width of 13.5 inches (34.3 cm) and a height of 14 inches (35.5 cm).
It weighs 2.19 kg. Condition The napkin has some slight staining & foxing, though the text & images all remain clear.
