Offering you artefacts & memorabilia from one of the world's finest maritime collections. Today, we are proud to offer you... RMS OLYMPIC was the first of the three'Olympic Class' vessels to be built and almost identical in every detail to her sister. Designed & built in Belfast by Harland and Wolff in 1911, OLYMPIC served for 25 years and was affectionately. One of the finest features of these ships was the stunning à la carte restaurant, where the first class and elite passengers could choose from a menu of food prepared by the finest chefs who came from the Ritz restaurant in London. The bone china was of the finest quality, made by Spode Copelands in England and decorated in lavish cobalt blue, finished with real gold leaf.
This soup plate is part of a dinner service presented to a White Star Line officer on the occasion of his retirement. He and his wife used it regularly for family dinners. The plate is in superb condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, is extremely rare and a guaranteed investment. SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE VALUABLE COLLECTIBLES.
