Original Titanic Marconigramsent From Rescue Ship Carpathia4/18/12lifeboat #9
To the 1635 souls who were lost with the ill-fated Titanic, and especially to those heroic men, who, instead of trying to save themselves, stood aside that women and children might have their chance; of each of them let it be written, as it was written of a Greater One-- "He Died that Others might Live". I stood in unimaginable trance And agony that cannot be remembered. April 14th, 2017 will mark the 105th Anniversary of the Titanic's sinking (April 14, 1912).

Offered is a rare piece of Titanic history that is extremely'chilling'. It is an original handwritten marconigram known in modern circles as a telegram.

The marconigram is original and authentic and is not a copy or reproduction. This 105 year old historical document is in very nice condition and the red ink writing is well preserved considering it's age (April 18, 1912). The marconigram and wording may seen lighter in the photograph due to the lighting and camera glare. I have included close up photo's of the Marconigram from different sections to see more clearly, however, the photographs do not do it justice as seeing it up-close in person. It is recorded in the rare textbook (not included), Titanic-Signals of Disaster by John Booth and Sean Coughlan.

It was published by White Star Publications and was referenced on 80, p. 108: No 40/40, 18 Apr. Words 2, charges 17/3_1/2; sent to MSC by H. " Cook William Jewell College Liberty Missouri "Safe Carpathia Collett. Sidney Clarence Collett boarded Titanic at Southampton on April 10, 1912 and was bound for Fort Byron, NY.

Any Titanic or maritime enthusiast can understand the rarity and significance this document brings to the table, especially a "Marconigram" that was "Transmitted" from the Carpathia A lot of Marconigrams were taken from survivor reciepents on the Carpathia, but not actually transmitted. Unable to cope with the volume of messages which the Titanic survivors wanted to send, the wireless operators on Carpathia arrived in New York with a number of private messages accepted for transmission, but which were never sent. Those marconigrams actually have the words "Not Transmitted" stamp applied diagonally across the marconigram (as shown in the textbook), and and although these "not transmitted" marconigrams have commandered high prices in recent auctions, they are not nearly as rare or high valued as the ones that were transmitted, such as this one! This one originates from my collection who over the last 20 years, I have become a true and advid Titanic collector who has slowly started to sell off my collection as we lead up to the 105th Anniversary (April 14, 2012). I have been interviewed in "Worth" magazine, as well as being on CNN about my collection.

Many of these pieces have already been auctioned off at Christies and with the anniversary approaching this will no doubt skyrocket in value. If you are familiar with Titanic Articfacts, then you will understand the rarity of a Marconigram. Thank You and Good luck. Please Note: In the days to come I will have additional original items from the Titanic listed such as 5 historical very rare NY full Newspapers from the library of Congress from April 15-19 in sequence about the sinking of the Titanic, and a very rare signed book from an actual survivor saved in lifeboat # 13 (now deceased).
