WHITE STAR LINE 1911 Telescope - Solid Brass & Good Optics. WHITE STAR LINE 1911 Telescope. Solid Brass & Good Optics. The history of White Star Line in 1911 is that the Titanic was launched and the Olympic commenced its maiden voyage.Small 2-section scope measures 7.5 inches when collapsed; 10.75 inches when extended. Brass is in fine condition with only a few light scratches and rub marks. A very slight amount of age spotting on the eye piece. Lenses are intact and clear. This would be a wonderful addition to any collection of Titanic or nautical memorabilia. This one is not as shiny, but because it is solid brass and can easily be taken apart, and can be polished if one desires. Has to be pretty rare White Star Line item and especially interesting dated 1911, and I hypothesize has to be relative to Titanic and/or Olympic. The brass has some what appears to be hand oils stains.
